Caldwell Securities Ltd. is hosting an “in-person” luncheon seminar discussing the merits of
Retirement Compensation Arrangements (“RCAs”) and Individual Pension Plans (“IPPs”)

This seminar will be an informative session for Incorporated Farm Owners and Business Owners. We will provide actual case studies to real-life situations on maximizing benefits using IPP’s & RCA’s for owners looking at creating a pension for life, reducing overall taxes, increase corporate deductions, as well as estate and succession planning. There will also be a question and answer period at the end of the session.

Clark has published articles and presented at industry conferences in the field of field of behavioural economics on topics including Choice Fatigue and Pension and Investment Committee Decision Making.

His expertise includes Individual Pension Plans (IPPs), Retirement Compensation Arrangements (RCAs), Supplementary Executive Retirement Programs (SERPs), Defined Benefit Pension Plans, GAAP accounting for Benefit Plans (Canadian, US & International) and the setup & management of the Benefit Plan Governance process.

Mike graduated from McGill majoring in accounting in 2005. After obtaining his CPA designation in 2010, Mike went through an in-depth program in taxation and became a full-time tax specialist. Since then, Mike has been focusing on tax planning, succession planning and restructuring privately owned corporations to minimize taxation for the business and its owner operators. Before Mike started his own CPA firm, he worked at Deloitte, BDO and other regional firms.

Rick is responsible for recruiting, coaching, and leading the next generation of young new advisors at Caldwell Securities Ltd. He is also tasked with the development and implementation of our Client Experience Model and Holistic Goals-Based approach to Wealth Management.

Rick has dedicated over 25 years of his professional career to helping individuals, business owners, corporations and their employees achieve their Wealth Management goals.

Prior to joining Caldwell Securities Ltd., Rick worked at a very large National IIROC & MFDA dealer. He was responsible for the turnaround, buildout, and return to profitability of their modernized, National Advisory team, across Canada.

Rick holds a Certified Investment Manager (“CIM”) as well as a Certified Financial Planner, (“CFP”) designation. He is also a Brand Ambassador for FP Canada and is often called upon to speak as an expert with media and press about topical investment and financial planning issues.

Rick is a periodic lecturer at Seneca Colleges’ Business Department for their Faculty of Continuing Education and Training.

He is a devoted father of three and a community leader who volunteers much of his time coaching football and mentoring at risk youth to help them overcome obstacles, meet challenges and pursue post-secondary education through sports.
