We are seeking a team-oriented Accountant (Level 1). They will report directly to the Vice President of Finance and work closely with our business and finance teams. The job candidate will focus on accounting, reconciliation, payroll, internal controls, reporting, planning, financial analysis, and budgeting of the business operations. The job candidate will also have strong knowledge of payroll administration, SAGE 50 software and financial analysis. Experience in the investment industry is an asset.
What will you do?

- Perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Support the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and other financial analyses as required
- Assist in payroll processing
- Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
- Assist in variance analysis and provide explanations for significant differences between actual and budgeted figures
- Investigate and resolve inquiries
- Process and record accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Generate and send out invoices, monitor accounts receivable, and follow up on outstanding payments
- Review accounts receivable to ensure compliance
- Assist with the preparation and posting of journal entries to the general ledger

Qualifications:

We are searching for Securities / Investment Operations Analyst to join our operations team.
